William VanConant

William J. VanConant II, age 73, of Gladwin, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 15, 2025. He was born on February 10, 1952, in Pontiac, MI the son of William J. VanConant I and Shirley Thorsel.

William was the proud father of twins, Tara and Brian. On September 8, 1990, he married Linda Thomas, and together they shared 35 years of love and cherished memories.

A hardworking man, William spent many years in construction before retiring. He had a deep passion for music and enjoyed collecting and restoring antiques. He loved the outdoors and was always eager to lend a helping hand to those around him. Creative and skilled, he found joy in working with his hands, often dedicating time to woodworking.

William is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Tara VanConant and Brian VanConant; his sister, Suzanne Bobola; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Shirley and infant sister Evelyn .

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
