Thomas L. Hart, 92, of Gladwin, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021. He was born on February 9, 1929, the son of Roy and Ila (Henderson) Hart in Romeo. He was united in marriage to his true love, Ersel Murdick on September 2, 1949, in Flint. They went on to cherish 71 wonderful years of marriage. Thomas retired at the age of 57, as a painter for Ford Motor Company Proving Grounds in Romeo. After retirement Thomas and Ersel moved to Gladwin, making it their home. He loved living up north, where he could follow his lifelong passion, hunting. Thomas loved to hunt, pheasant, deer, rabbit, coyotes, and his stories, traveled wherever he went. He was also a very talented woodworker. He was also a faithful Christian and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife: Ersel Hart of Gladwin; daughters: Bonnie Welch of Gladwin, Robyne (Ray) VanDuser of Newnan, Georgia, and Yvonne (George) Baker of Bel Air; grandchildren: Jennifer Kennedy, Ranee Baker, Craig Baker, Nicole Schultz, Erica Kleinfelt, and Blake VanDuser; along with several great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and all 5 siblings.

Funeral Services for Thomas will be conducted on Friday, April 2, 2021, 12:00 noon at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest on Monday, April 5, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Riverside Cemetery, Vassar.
