Tammy Joy Escamilla-Albrecht, age 63, of Gladwin, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was born on December 19, 1961, the daughter of John and Ethel (Brandt) Escamilla. Tammy was proud of her Mexican and Native American Heritage. After Tammy graduated trade school, she started her career as a Sheet Metal Workers for the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local 80 until her retirement.
She had a deep love for animals, throughout the years caring for a large number of strays providing them with the love they needed. Tammy was an avid reader and enjoyed being outside in nature, often spending time fishing and camping. She had a mischievous spirit and was always playing pranks and causing trouble. She was an amazing cook with a kind heart. Most of all, she was extremely generous. Even if she did not have a lot to give, she was always willing to go the extra mile to help those in need.
She is survived by her children: Justin (Rachel) Fry, Darrien Press-Escamilla and Kendal Albrecht; and her siblings: Robert (Faye) Escamilla and Kay (Ron) Escamilla.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Ethel; and her brothers: Gene Escamilla, David Escamilla, and Michael Escamilla.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the local Animal Shelter in memory of Tammy. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
