Sherry Meredith-Rice

Sherry J. Meredith-Rice, age 75, of Hope, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. She was born on April 7, 1951, the daughter of Robert and Ferne (Turner) Overby, in Madison Heights, MI. Sherry worked as a cashier and in customer service at Lowes for 17 years until her retirement. She married the love of her life Van “Bob” Rice and together they shared several years filled with love and cherished memories. Sherry loved tending to her flower garden, garage sales, and cooking. She was an amazing house keeper and enjoyed keeping things neat and tidy.

She is survived by her husband: Bob Rice; son: Robert (Lisa) Meredith, of Homestead, FL; brother: Steven (Reina) Overby of Port Orange, FL; and niece: Naomi Overby of Port Orange, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
