Ronald L. Porter

Ronald L. Porter, 81, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away at his home on Monday, January 22, 2018. He was born in Gladwin on January 9, 1937 the son of Marvin & Doris (Parker) Porter. He had lived in Gladwin County his entire life and he was owner/operator of Ron’s Painting in Midland. Left to cherish his memory is his 3 children: Tara Pugh of Midland; Dawn Ghaith of Gladwin; Ronald (Bobbi) Porter of Bentley; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Clayton of Gladwin; Carolyn Clore of Gladwin; brothers: Larry Porter of Durand; Charles Porter of Virginia; sister: Michelle McAulay of Gladwin; brother: Rodger Porter of Gladwin; several nieces & nephews. Special thanks to Ronald's best friend, Tom Pero for always being there for him and for being such a devoted friend. He is preceded in death by his grandson: Cody Porter; parents; 6 brothers & sisters. Honoring the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place and Memorial Services with a luncheon will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, 3:00 P.M. at the Cedar River Chapel, Beaverton, Michigan.
