Ronald Gutchak

February 21, 1954 — July 24, 2025

Gutchak, Ronald “Gooch” of Beaverton, age 71 passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at his home surrounded with love by family and friends. Ron was a kind, loving man who loved his family immensely. He retired from Buick at the age of 51 to pursue yet another career “Game Birds Farm” for several years. He was a hard worker always ready to lend a hand to whoever needed it. He was a mamma’s boy and called her every morning to have coffee together. He was the life of the party and had many. He would make sure everyone had drinks, food, and his entertaining dance moves and one of his favorite sayings was “Whoa” which covered just about everything he did. He was a friend to all and had many. It didn’t matter if you were the mail lady, liquor guy or pizza delivery guy… you were his friend. He loved the outdoors, and all the adventures brought him joy.

Ron had a very special relationship with his granddaughter Ave (Avery). When she was little, Papa would babysit her giving her cups of sugar to eat. As she grew, they spent countless hours together on his farm doing chores and riding ATV’s around his acreage. One of their favorite things to do was deer hunting and riding the side by side in the woods. Ave also loved spending time at the lake house with Papa pulling her tubing all day then playing Fast Track game in the garage at night. She will always have a special place in his heart. All his grandchildren were special and he enjoyed spending time with them.

He was an amazing husband, dad, stepdad, papa, brother, and friend who will be missed by all.

Left to cherish in his memory wife/bestfriend: Debi Gutchak; children: Tiffany (Scott) Wise, Chrystal (Joshua) Graham; stepchildren: Seth (Jamie) Morgan, Erik (Holly) Morgan, Adam Drabek; along with many special friends and his beloved dog Phoebe.

Ron was blessed with twelve grandchildren and a soon to be great grandchild. Also loving sisters and a brother.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Barb Gutchak; Siblings: Cathy Nohel, David Gutchak, Diane Fyock; and his special dog Belda.

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com.
