Ronald H. Bigham, age 77, of Gladwin, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. He was born on September 24, 1948, the son of Howard and Rose (Thomas) Bigham, in Gladwin. On July 23, 1983, he married Pam Wooley. Together, they shared 43 years filled with love and cherished memories. Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea from 1968-1970. Following his service, Ron was employed at Simpson Industries for 24 years. He furthered his education and graduated from Mid Michigan Community College with his Associate’s Degree. He furthered his career and was self-employed as an appliance repair technician for several years, until his retirement.
Ron was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending his time watching and hunting deer, camping, and gardening. Throughout the years, he played drums for several different bands. He enjoyed participating in the local truck pulls. Most of all, he cherished the moments he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Pam; children: Valerie Bigham, Steven Bigham, Howie (Ashley) Bigham, and Lance (Felicia) Bigham; grandchildren: Heidi Welch, Corbin Welch, Bennett Bigham, Boone Bigham, Matthew Bigham, and Madison Bigham; sister: Janet Munday, Rosemary Misko, and Debra Bigham; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Howard and Rose; brother: Roger Bigham; sister: Patricia Owens; and in-laws: Paul and Roberta Wooley.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Renee Fuller in Gladwin and Compassus Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Ron over the last few months.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Community of Christ Church in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Visitation will also be held on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, in Gladwin.
