Roger "Bud" James Reppert, age 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to John and Evelyn (Schneider) Reppert. In September of 1956, he married Margaret Weber, they spent many years together until she preceded him in death. He married Marilyn Kroening in August of 2003 and together they spent many years of love and cherished memories together.
Bud was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and served with honor during the Korean Conflict, where he rose to the rank of sergeant. He earned his journeyman's license and went to work for Chrysler at the missile plant, eventually becoming a master electrician. He then enjoyed a long career at Ford Motor Company. While working at Ford Chesterfield Trim, he rose to the level of plant manager. He earned his BS degree in business while working at the Juarez, Mexico plant. The pinnacle of his career came when Ford entrusted him to build a new automotive plant in Poland.
In his early life, Bud raised his family on a small farm, where he raised cattle and put up hay. He loved fixing anything and everything and passing that knowledge on to his children. He had a special affinity for his Gold Wing motorcycle, which was gifted to him. He rode it to Alaska, the Smoky Mountains, and to Canada for a fishing trip. In his later years, he made memories camping with family and friends and spent his winters in Florida and Texas. He had a collection of tractors and was particularly fond of Farm-All. Bud was a lifetime member and past president of the Eagles, and a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Marilyn; children: Roger Reppert Jr., John (Rhonda) Reppert, Charles (Crystal) Reppert, Marianne (Ronald) Hill, Michael (Dawn) Dumas, and Michele (Martin) Brown; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children: Margaret (Weber) Reppert; and son: Paul.
