Rickie Young

Rickie Charles Young, age 70, of Gladwin, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Thursday, February 26, 2026. He was born on April 3, 1955, the son of Clarence and Beatrice (Odell) Young. On November 17, 1979, he married the love of his life, JoAnna Harris. Together they shared 46 years filled with love and cherished memories. He was employed as an Indpendent Truck Driver for many years until his retirement. He loved the outdoors, often spending his free time hunting, fishing, and golfing. Rickie was an active member of the Secord Lake Eagles Club. He was a proud US Marine that enjoyed jumping out of perfectly good airplanes.

He is survived by his beloved wife: JoAnna; daughter: Tarina (Dan) Gillard; grandchildren: Hailey (Supreet), Logan, Jasmine, Faith, and Rickie; great-grandchildren: Norah and Jasper; sister: Mary Lou (Dale) Cragg; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his children: Jeramie and Erick Young; brothers: Paul, Richard, and Carl Young; parents: Clarence and Beatrice; and mother-in-law: Florence Harris.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in honor of Rickie.
