Peter Lier

Peter C. Lier. 85, of Gladwin, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home. He was born on December 28, 1937, the son of Kingsley and Beatrice Lier in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1969, he was united in marriage to Julia Moore in Muskegon. They shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. He graduated from Augsburg College in Minnesota with his Teacher’s Degree. He later received his Master’s from Central Michigan University. Pete would teach at Gladwin Community Schools and coached basketball for 30 years. He loved fishing, golfing, and going to the casino.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Julia Lier; children: Dan Lier and Heidi Brown; grandchildren: Zoey, Daniel, Brittany, and Donald; sister: Bonnie.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister: Delores.
