Nick Mewes, age 46, of Gladwin, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 17, 2026. He was born on May 27, 1980, the son of Leo Mewes Sr. and Treva Duvernois, in Reno, NV. Nick lived in Gladwin for 2 years and was employed at the Shell Gas Station as a clerk. He loved disc golf and video games. In 2024, he met his fiancé, Jennifer Welch, and they shared many moments filled with love and cherished memories.
He is survived by his mother: Treva (Jim) Duvernois; fiancé: Jennifer Welch; and brother: Leo (Heather) Mewes Jr.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Mewes Sr.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
