Mary Ann Cristea

Mary Ann Cristea, age 81, of Houghton Lake, previously of Warren, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026. She was born on July 26, 1945, the daughter of George and Annie Cristea, in Detroit. Mary Ann started working for General Motors as a co-op student in the chart room. 51 years later, she retired as the Executive Assistant on the General Motors Finance Team.

Mary Ann loved to bowl and was on a bowling league for several years. She volunteered for the Kelly J. Price Bowling Fundraiser and generously donated for 22 years helping raise over $400,000 that supported 18 different children’s organizations in the State of Michigan. She always enjoyed her Kool cigarettes, loved to travel and enjoyed Detroit Sports.

She is survived by many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George.

Services will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Evergreen Cemetery in Detroit. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M.until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Detroit. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Brook of Houghton Lake.
