Lois M. Wilson, age 83, of Gladwin, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026. She was born on July 1, 1943, the daughter of Eugene and Stella (Roza) Fournier, in Detroit, MI. On September 23, 1961, she married the love of her life, Donald Wilson. Together they shared 56 years filled with love and cherished memories until he preceded her in death in 2017.
Lois went back to school to finish her studies and graduated from Beaverton High School in 1984. She was an active member of the Gladwin Eagles 3292. When they could, Donald and Lois enjoyed traveling, going on many adventures together.
Lois had a deep love for her dogs. She enjoyed shopping on QVC and HSM. She was a social butterfly and enjoyed hosting parties. She loved to garden and visit garage sales, always looking for a good bargain. Throughout her life she worked as a dog groomer and cleaned houses, though most of her life was dedicated to raising her children and helping out with her grandchildren, which she enjoyed immensely.
She is survived by her son: Mark (Tammy) Wilson of Gladwin; daughter: Dawn (Gerald) Androyna of Harrison; grandchildren: Starleigh, Becca, Nikki, Jon, Jordyn, Jennifer, Christina, Michelle, Autumn, Brandy, Corbyn, Shanna, Kyle, and Tyler; several great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Scott Wilson in 1999; 2 great-grandchildren: Eli and McKayla; along with her 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, in Gladwin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gladwin County Animal Shelter. She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Gladwin.
