Lawrence “Larry” C. Fanslow, age 85, of Gladwin, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was born on June 2, 1940, the son of Charles and Delia (Zilka) Fanslow, in Gladwin. He had many jobs throughout the years, working in HVAC and construction until his retirement. On November 25, 1972, he married Joyce Ritter. Together, they shared 52 years.
Larry loved the outdoors, often spending his time hunting for deer and bear and fishing. He loved playing cards with his friends, and gardening. Larry is a giving soul, always willing to help those around when needed.
He is survived by his wife: Joyce Fanslow; children: Charles (Chuck) and wife Debbie Fanslow and Teri Fanslow; grandchildren and great-grandchildren of whom he referred to as ruggers; niece and nephew: Karen Courneya and Bob Courneya; and his cousin: Russell Zilka.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Delia; siblings: Dorothy (Ernie) Courneya and Rosalie (George) Houghton; and his nephew: Micky Cropper.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
