Kevin Neville

Kevin Neville, 67, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away on August 22, 2026. He was born on January 27, 1959, in Flint, Michigan, to Ray and Margaret “Peggy” Neville. He spent most of his childhood in Beaverton, growing up alongside his six siblings: Carrie (Rick) Germain, Kathy Irish, Rodney (Julie) Neville, Michele (Greg) Cameron, Beth (Chris) Beaman, and Tim (Marisa) Neville. Kevin graduated from Beaverton High School in 1978.

Following high school, Kevin attended Ferris State College where he studied television production. He ultimately made the decision to leave college to proudly serve in the United States Air Force. He served his country for eight years, living in Utah and Germany, and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his military career, Kevin worked as an F-16 jet engine mechanic and crew chief. After completing his service in the Air Force, Kevin made his home in Shelby Township, Michigan, where he worked for Detroit Diesel. During these years, he and Kerrie Duran raised their two lovely daughters, Whitney (Kevin) Presley and Danielle Neville (Keegan Conner).

In 2008, Kevin married Peggy (Hitchcock-Whitmer) Neville. In 2012, they returned to their hometown of Beaverton where they blended their families with Kevin’s new bonus children Michael (Angela) Whitmer, Sarah (Rory) Tripp, Steven (Janeen) Whitmer, and Monica (Tracy) Bowers. Kevin worked for Saint-Gobain until his retirement. He remained in service to others throughout his life. Kevin served for several years on the Beaverton City Council and briefly held the position of Mayor Pro Tem. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. Kevin was a lifelong outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved spending time with his family, and absolutely cherished the moments he spent with his grandchildren.

Kevin’s life was spent in service to his country, his community, his dear friends, and most importantly, his family. He will be deeply missed. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Peggy Neville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elroy and Glenna Hitchcock, and his brother-in-law, Chuck Irish.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughters, Whitney and Danielle; grandchildren, Oliver and CeCe; siblings, Carrie, Kathy, Rodney, Michele, Beth, and Tim; bonus children, Michael, Sarah, Steven, and Monica; bonus grandchildren, Kateri, Dennis, Joseph, Kade, Maggie, Kayla, Kennedy, Addison, Logan, Wyatt, and Kate; 27 nieces and nephews; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael J.
