John W. Crippen, 60, of Beaverton, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born on August 23, 1960, the son of John A. and Phyllis M. (Hyatt) Crippen in Midland. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed as a carpenter for most of his life. John loved to fish, hunt, and anything to get him in the outdoors.

Left to cherish his memory re his son: Michael (Tehya) Crippen of Alaska; grandson: Michael Crippen Jr.; mother: Phyllis Crippen of Florida; brother: Richard Crippen of Gordonville; sister: Tina (Scott) Evans of Ohio; along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be planned for a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Homes. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
