John `B. Bevins

John B. Bevins Sr., 80, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at his home with his wife by his side on Saturday, October 21, 2017. He was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on March 20, 1937 the son of Bud & Nevada (Ward) Bevins. On August 12, 1963 he was united in marriage to his true love, Carolyn Roberts in Detroit, Michigan. John was employed with General Motors, Cadillac Motors in Detroit and retired in 1987. He had lived in Gladwin County for the last 31 years, previously residing in Taylor, Michigan, and he was a member of UAW Local 22. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn Bevins of Gladwin; son: Jack (Laura) Bevins of Prattville, Alabama; daughter: Sandra (Craig) McGlassion of Taylor; son: John Jr. (Teresa) Bevins of Davison. His children blessed him with 18 beautiful grandchildren; many wonderful great grandchildren and several precious great-great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his sister: Roberta (Curtis) Bartley and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services at this time.
