Jerry Walters, age 84, of Gladwin, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He was born on March 7, 1942, the son of Arnold and LulaBelle (Bowers) Walters, in Burton, MI. Jerry was employed as a Mechanic for many years, working for Roehrs and Graff before his retirement. On October 21, 1972, he married the love of his life, Sandra Quibell. Together, they shared 53 years filled with love and cherished memories.
Jerry had a passion for playing cards, and he was good at it too. He enjoyed hunting and camping. He was a Chevy and John Deere enthusiast throughout his entire life. Most of all, Jerry, affectionately known as “Grandpa Buddy”, loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished the moments spent with his family and was so proud of them.
He is survived by his wife: Sandra; children: Toni (Loren) Wilcox, Arnold (Sheila) Craft, Susan (Rich) Heavlin, and Melissa (Ralph) Dunkle; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Cleo (Don) Heath, Sherman (Joanne) Fassett, and Bonnie Bosman.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Arnold and LulaBelle; sister: Marilyn; and brother-in-laws: Doug and Ward.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Butman Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MyMichigan Home Care in honor of Jerry.
