Janine Frank

Janine Ann Frank, 59, of Gladwin, previously from Southfield, passed away on September 10, 2023, at home with her friends by her side. Janine was born on August 23, 1964, in Pontiac for the best parents, Shirley and Daniel Frank.

In her early years Janine enjoyed sports like softball, basketball, and volleyball; which she played at Southfield Lathrup High School. She also loved spending time with family up north at the cottage. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree.

Janine had an undeniable love for exercise, walking the treadmill and group classes. She loved to travel and would as often as possible. The greatest loves of Janine’s life were her dogs. She was a dog owner her entire life. Penny, Sassy, Velvet, Tink and Mia all completely stole her heart.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Shirley Frank.

Janine is survived by her father, Daniel A. Frank, brother Daniel E. (Tamara) Frank, niece Briana Simmons, nephew Jacob (Crystal) Frank, niece Heather Hammond; many great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

As a multiple organ transplant recipient, Janine’s quality of life was made possible through these selfless gifts. She was forever grateful and would encourage all to consider organ donating.
