James “Jim” Rogers, age 80, of Gladwin, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025. He was born on December 17, 1944, the son of Woodrow and Mary (Patrick) Rogers, in Warren, MI. Throughout his life, Jim worked in construction for many years until his retirement. On June 22, 1968, Jim married the love of his life, Patricia. Together, they shared many years of love and cherished memories until she preceded him in death in 2018.
Jim was an outdoorsman, often spending his free time hunting, fishing, and on his tractor. He enjoyed trips to the casino and scratch off tickets. Jim loved telling stories and was famous for his delicious biscuits and gravy.
He is survived by his children: James (Karen) Rogers, Kansas (PJ) Woods, Shawn Rogers, Tammy El-Salman, and Rebecca (Jim) Stack; grandchildren: Brittany, Ethan, Jordan, Amanda, Nicholas, Timothy, Tarik, Joshua, David, James Jr., Austin, and Emily; great-grandchildren: Matthew, James, Bradley, Aaliyah, Weston, Grayson, Elliot, Dominick, Amelia, Susan, Aiden, Joshua, Zaine, Aria, Aubrianna, Aubrey, Owen, AJ, Henry, and one on the way; and his siblings: Woodrow (Patti), Linda (Richard), and Larry (Marsha).
He was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia; parents: Woodrow and Mary; and siblings: Ethel, Raymond, Jerry, Johnny, and Richard.
