James William Badger, age 64, of Gladwin, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 13, 2026. He was born on September 9, 1961, the son of William and Lorene (Hildebrandt) Badger, in Midland. On August 26, 1995, he married the love of his life, Cheryl Myers. Together they shared 30 years of love and cherished memories.
James was a farmer and he loved what he did. He enjoyed spending his days on the farm with his beloved dog, Roxy. James loved his Harley, taking joy rides with Cheryl, and playing billiards.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Cheryl; daughter: Tess Badger (Ray Rodriguez) and her dog, Koda; mother: Lorene Badger; siblings: Carolyn (Ken) Van Wert and Steven (Julie) Badger; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Badger.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 3:00-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. He will be laid to rest at Grout Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in accordance to the wishes of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
