Irene Tompkins

Irene Eolone Tompkins, age 75, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025. She was born on October 30, 1950, the daughter of Harry Tompkins and Josephine Wheeler, in Alanson, MI. Irene loved puzzles and garage sales. She loved camping at Outdoor Adventure and going on golf cart rides. She loved going for walks and going out for a meal with family, especially at The Family Diner.

She is survived by her sisters: Grace (Tom) Basket and Eleanor (Gary Lemmon) Reicha; nieces and nephews: Cathy Ginther Basket, Tom Basket Jr., Trisha Pierce, and Gary (Amanda) Reicha.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Josephine; step-father: John Wheeler; brother: Elliot Tompkins; and niece: Tony Reicha.
