Giovanni "John" Orso

Giovanni "John" Orso, 88, of Beaverton, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022. He was born on January 11, 1934, the son of Rinaldo and Maria (Vergagni) Orso in Volpari, Italy. He moved to the United States and turned 21 during his trip on the boat. In 1959, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Schriber in Detroit at St. Agatha Church. They were blessed with recently having their 63 anniversary together. He was concrete laborer and foreman for Leer Sigler in Detroit . In 1980, John & Geraldine moved to Beaverton to start new a chapter in their life. John enjoyed many of life's pleasures ...hunting, going to the casino, playing pull tabs at the local eagles club with all his friends, and was known for his homemade wine "dago-red." He was a member of the Gladwin Eagles Aerie 3292 and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin and will be missed and always loved by the people he touched in his life.
