Frank Matthews

Frank Perry Matthews, age 78, passed away April 4th, 2026. Frank was born on September 11th,1947 to Jack and Hazel (Graham) Matthews in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. He graduated from Hamady High School in 1965. He served in the army during the Vietnam era. After leaving the military, he worked for General Motors as a Tool and Dye maker for 35 years, retiring in 1998.

Frank married Judy B Young, January 28th,1982. Together they raised their blended family. He leaves behind his 5 children, Michelle Campbell (Dan), Jennefer Mackey (Glenn), Jason White (Christy), Jeremy White (Melinda), and Joshua White (Sylina). He enjoyed his 10 grandchildren, Riley (Joni), Alex, Ian (Chloe), Taylor, Brayden, Zachary, Alyssa, Reece, Kayla and Lucy. He also leaves behind 2 great grandchildren, Kinzlee and Brennan. He is survived by his siblings, Sheila Matthews (Ernie Yost), Jacquelyn DeGayner (the late Ralph DeGayner), Janet Vitale (John) and Matt Matthews (Brenda). He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. His parents, Jack and Hazel, preceded him in death.

Frank loved his family, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was also an avid sports fan who loved watching his favorite teams, the Michigan Wolverines and the Green Bay Packers.

He will forever live in our hearts and will never be forgotten,

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Graveside services will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, in Holly, MI. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
