Edward Ostrand

Edward Alan “Chip” Ostrand, 56, passed away following a lengthy battle with diabetes on January 5, 2021, He was born on August 12, 1964, the son of Wayne and Dorothy (Norton) in Pontiac. Chip was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving his country from 1982-1986. He moved to Secord Lake in 2015, and was a member of the Secord Lake Eagles serving as Trustee. He was also a member of the Gladwin Masonic Lodge. Chip enjoyed volunteering and quick to lend a helping hand wherever he was needed.

He is survived by his sisters: Susan Fitzpatrick of Gladwin, Barbara (John) Knoph of Sebring, FL, and Teri Ostrand of Davisburg; 4 children: Jessica (Brent) Recker, sons: Zackary, Joshua, and Justin all of Arizona; 5 grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother: John and sister: Ellen.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 17, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan with full military honors. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
