Darlene McDermott, age 76, of Beaverton, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. She was born on August 28, 1948, the daughter of Basil Rummer and Wilma Carriveau, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She had a deep love for her dogs, whose company she cherished. Darlene married the love of her life, Arthur “Lee” McDermott, and together they shared many years filled with love and cherished memories until he preceded her in death 1999.
She is survived by her 96 year old mother: Wilma Carriveau; brothers: Basil (Lynn) Rummer Jr., James (Mary Jo) Rummer, and Lonnie (Sheree) Rummer; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Lee; father: Basil; brothers: Daryl and Lowell “Scott” Rummer and step-father: Robert Carriveau,
Funeral services will take place in Florida. She will be laid to rest at Joshua Creek Cemetery in Arcadia, FL. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
