February 1, 1958 — April 19, 2023

Dana Kae Turnmire, of Gladwin, MI passed away on April 19, 2023 after a short illness with her husband by her side along with Breanna and Grant. She was born on February 1, 1958 to Gary and Marilyn (Triplett) Wagner in Rockford, IL. She was married to Bill Turnmire for 39 years.

Dana is survived by her husband: Bill; her children: Jason Nicoson, Mark Nicoson, Breanna (Tyler) Zienkiewicz, Grant Turnmire; Mother: Marilyn Kohl; Sister: Darla (Steve) Gray, Kim (Bill) Neubauer; Brother: Gary Wagner. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Trenton Nicoson, Jax Nummer, Beau Zienkiewicz, Marley Zienkiewicz; great grandchildren: Trinity Nicoson, Emberly Nicoson.

She is preceded in death by her father: Gary Wagner and step father: Bill Kohl.

Throughout life Dana performed many jobs, waitressing, child care, elderly care. Her priorities were always her children; she was a homemaker for many years, retiring after a fall. Family was always her focus, chasing the kids around: wrestling, soccer, cross country, and baseball. She was always on the sideline or bleacher supporting her kids and grandkids.

She graduated in 1976 from Harlem High School in Machesney Park, IL. Dana and Bill were married in 1984, where they lived in Illinois, moving to Tennessee in 1996, then moving to Michigan in 1999. In Almont, MI is where Breanna and Grant were raised. Dana and Bill then bought their home in Gladwin, MI on Secord Lake which was her final resting place.
