Cynthia Muma, age 77, of Gladwin, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026. She was born on November 22, 1948, the daughter of Keith and Arlene (Haines) Gilbert, in Frankfort, MI. Cynthia graduated from Clare High School in 1967. She went on to work at Huhtamaki Plastic in Coleman as an inspector for many years. She also worked part-time for Shawn Muma Logging. She was a long time member of the Gladwin Church of Christ. Cynthia loved her family deeply, cherishing the moments she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an amazing and loving mother and a very involved grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Shawn (Katherine) Muma of Gladwin, Greg (Debbie) Muma of Gladwin; and Sheri (Patrick Fritz) Muma of West Branch; grandchildren: Dalton (Karlie) Muma of Gladwin, Wade Muma of Gladwin, Marshall Muma of Salem, MA, Garett Muma stationed in Fort Bragg, NC, Cody Muma of Gladwin, Madison Louk of Gladwin, Jasmine Muma of Gladwin, Elizabeth Muma of Gladwin, Marissa (JayCee) Hill of Lakeview, Alisha Muma of Troy, Brandon Muma of Gladwin, Kinsley (Scott) McPherson of Gladwin, Carissa Smith of Gladwin, Breanna Breece of Bay City, Alyssa Breece of Bay City, and Baily Breece of Pinconning; great-grandchildren: Kaylynn Stein, Axton Krchmar, Paisley Barnes, Noah and Micah Hill, Lennyn Muma, and Leland Muma.

She is also survived by her sister: Sandra Gilbert of Sparta, TN; brothers: Terry Gilbert of Gladwin, Larry (Karen) Gilbert of Broken Arrow, OK, Joe Gilbert of Chesaning, Pat (Wendy) Gilbert of Battle Creek, and Don (Deanna) Gilbert of Buford, GA; along with many loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Keith and Arlene Gilbert; daughter-in-law: Lisa Muma; sister-in-law: Violet Gilbert; and nephew: Barry Brady; and great-nephew: Robert Whitfield.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
