Connie Oard

Connie L. Oard, age 77, of Gladwin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Connie was born on September 25, 1948, the daughter of Maurice and Harriet (Hathaway) Ranes, in Gladwin. On May 4, 1968, Connie married her high school sweet heart and the love of her life, Dennis Oard. Together they shared 57 wonderful years filled with love and cherished memories. Connie was employed for 19 years with Consumer’s Energy in Gladwin before her retirement.

Connie loved going for walks, tending to her flower beds, and spending time with her dogs, kids and grandchildren. She cherished all the moments spent with her family. Connie was genuine and kindhearted, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband: Dennis; children: Lisa (Matthew) Gingerich, Mike Oard, and Kristine (Josh) Shilling; grandchildren: Merissa (Nick) Garner and Blake Gingerich; and sister: Joann.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters (Ruthann and Pam); step-grandson: Riley White; and great-grandson: Landon.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Gladwin County Animal Shelter in honor of Connie.
