Archie Sampson, 85, of Beaverton, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020. He was born on November 11, 1935, the son of Albert and Nellie (Kern) Sampson in Gladwin. Archie was united in marriage to Patricia Hobbs on November 24, 1956 in Gladwin. She proceeded him in death in 2015. Archie has been a resident of Gladwin County his whole life and was employed at Wolverine Power. Archie was a member of the Gladwin Sportsman Club and the Gladwin Eagles 3292.

Left to cherish his memory are his 3 sons; Dennis Sampson of Cleveland, OH, Rick (Chris) Sampson of North Dakota, and Randy (Linda) Sampson of Dallas, TX. Archie was also blessed with 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister; Alice Salyer of Allegan.

He is preceeded in death by his parents and wife; Patricia Sampson, son; Terry Sampson, and 4 brothers and 2 sisters; Jimmy Sampson, Ralph Sampson, Boyd Sampson, Stanley Sampson, Dorothy Cronk, and Nellie Hollenbaugh.

Arrangements are in the hands of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home-Gladwin. No services will take place due to Covid. He will be laid to rest at McClure Cemetery in Gladwin.
